Alpha Mound

Alpha Mound Alpha Mound is the solo work of Joakim Westlund, previously of Aerial and currently in No Coda. He released an album and an EP with lo-fi low key songs sung in a deep hushed voice. Later work seems more ambient and sound oriented - a natural thing since sound is really his main focus , having a huge collection of analog equipment at home where he also masters releases for StÄlverk, Lamour and others. Go to the Alpha Mound website Listen to Alpha Mound releases on Bandcamp or on Spotify

Hedvig Filippa Maria

Hedvig Filippa Maria Filippa made her first and only release for StÄlverk in january 2008. It is produced by JKP and features her airy voice repeating a sentence over and over, accompanied by layers of electronic noises, and her own toy xylophone playing. Remixes were made by JKP and Plankton, each underlining different elements of the song, together forming a long, repetitive strange but oddly beautiful piece of music.

Leonard Hummer

Leonard Hummer Playing piano from the age of five, Lenny has always been around music, playing it, beating it or programmed it. His compositions is mainly about the struggle to honor sound itself, when asked about what kind of music he makes, he will typically answer with a mood or an environment rather than a musical genre. This has resulted in seamless trips through the wide spectra of melodies and soundscapes, containing everything from mellow pads, rounded basslines and minimal beats to whirlwinds of percussion, abstract loops and filtered syntheseizers. He has recently made the music to independent video game Sanctum 2 and finished to major projects: "...is nothing" trilogy for StÄlverk and "five stages of grief", his first piece for piano.

Lo

Lo Lo makes dense, atmospheric lo-fi electronic soundscapes with rich melancholy and dark nerve. It is the solo project of StÄlverk co-founder Olle Ohlsson. Lo is his alter ego as a music producer but also a mythological character, a lynx-like half human, battling the demons of the shadow world, a place similar to our reality but populated by shadow beings, eye spheres and amnesia monsters. This is where all Lo projects form, as part of a grand plan to expose the shadow world and meld it with our "reality". Lo works on different releases for StÄlverk and writes a fantasy novel.

The semi-regular documents made during these sessions have been named Conclusion which means it is the collaborative effort of two artists and we get to see what they have been working on since last time. These sets do not contain "tracks" in a traditional way, they are improvised and sound different on every occasion.

Lust

Their two recorded songs, "Fool" and "Pretend" were recorded and released in the summer of 2008 and is a lovely release of weird but catchy pop music with some almost hiphop-influenced beats, driving acoustic guitar and almost spoken vocals.

Ohlsson Perman

Ohlsson Perman Lo and JKP are the two StÄlverk founders. 19 years or so into their joint musical journey, they decided to release two songs using their own names. They were made fast during one or two sessions and underline some of their respective trademarks: JKP's experimental celebratory rhythms and Lo's dense low-key atmosphere. Ohlsson and Perman started this StÄlverk shit. Is this the motherfucking thanks we get?

Tunic

Tunic Tunik has played together since 1996. They have always consisted of Jessica Aspeby, Jon Perman and Olle Ohlsson. They are good friends and make amazing music! They do this for a reason: to express an idea or a feeling. Not to be a rock band or to have something to talk about at parties or to have a career or to have fun. Tunic has continued making music even though members have lived in different cities, countries, started families, jobs and various other music projects. But their heart remains at Kungen, Sandviken. Tunic always reinvents itself and always seeks new forms. Tunic are against genre music and trying to do what your idols do, but worse. They started StÄlverk in 1999, to release their own music and some of the best stuff to come out of Sandviken. Tunic are right now releasing their third album on vinyl and streaming audio, and are always recording songs for other forms of releases on StÄlverk. Streaming preview of Tunic's new album on Bandcamp

[krig]

[krig] [krig] is an art collective. About 50% of the expression is music, the rest is a visual or other representation of a larger picture, a view into another world, which music and art is an integrated part of. A big part of this is made using textile and craft or digitally projected images. [krig] breaks down barriers between the audience and artist, the art space and dance floor, time and space.  The best way to understand this is to check out krig.me Listen to [krig]s Soundcloud
